November 24, Service Announcement

On 2020 November 23, there was a province-wide restriction update by the Provincial Health Officer (PHO), directing the temporarysuspension to the following activities:

-       all group fitness activities (Yoga, Hot Yoga, Spin Class, HIIT, Martial Arts, Gymnastics, Dance Studios, Pilates, Strength and conditioning)

This temporary suspension is effective immediately.  Participants registered in affected programs will be contacted. 


A reminder that masks are now required for everyone in all public indoor settings and workplaces.

The Recreation team continues to monitor all PHO restrictions and sector guidelines to ensure that our COVID-19 safety plans are in compliance with orders and best practices.


Kaleden can be discovered just a short drive south of Penticton, BC in the beautiful Okanagan Valley. Situated on the west side of Skaha Lake, it boasts the scenic beauty of lakefront living and a community full of spirit and neighborly connections.

This website introduces you to our beautiful lakeside community and contains pictures and information to help you enjoy Kaleden's parks and recreational opportunities. Public facilities, parks and recreational programs are guided by our dedicated volunteers with the Kal-Rec Commission and managed by the Regional District of Okanagan Similkameen.

 From Kaleden, you can choose to walk or bike along the Kettle Valley Railway Trail which will take you north to Penticton or south to Okanagan Falls in what is best described as the scenic route.
